How does termination work?

There are two different things you can end: a single engagement (your SOW), or your overall Talent agreement with Go Fractional. They work differently.

Ending an engagement (your SOW)

Each SOW has its own notice period. Our standard is 30 days' written notice from either side, you or the client, once any initial commitment period is complete. Yours may be different if you or the client negotiated it. When notice terms are negotiated, we aim to keep them the same for both sides.

You can also end an SOW early if the client doesn't pay.

Ending your Talent agreement

This is about your overall membership agreement, covered by Section 11 of the Talent Terms of Service.

• You: 15 days' written notice, as long as you have no active SOWs.
• Go Fractional: 30 days' written notice, for any reason.
• Go Fractional, immediately: on written notice if there's a material breach of the agreement or an SOW, unlawful or grossly negligent business practices, a violation of what you've represented or committed to, or a violation (or likely violation) of Section 10 (non-solicitation, non-disparagement, and non-circumvention).

Send written notice to legal@gofractional.com. The Talent Terms also ask for a copy by courier to our mailing address.

What happens after the agreement ends?

All your active SOWs end with it, and Go Fractional may close your platform access. Within 30 days you'll need to:

• Deliver all deliverables and work product to the client, finished or not, as they instruct
• Return or permanently erase all confidential information, and hand over any documents that contain it
• Confirm in writing that you've done so, if we ask

Not taking on work right now?

You don't need to end your agreement to step back. Accepting the Talent Terms doesn't oblige you to take on any work, and you can keep your account for the job board and the community. To pause, set your profile to Hidden and your availability to Currently not available at app.gofractional.com/settings. See I want to step away for a while but might come back. What should I do?
